DETROIT (AP) -- A small group of Detroit clergy plans to hold a
march and prayer rally outside a downtown football stadium that's
hosting a 24-hour gathering of Christians known as TheCall.

The Rev. Charles Williams II says TheCall espouses divisive anti-Muslim, anti-gay and anti-abortion views.

Some Detroit-area Muslim leaders have said they fear that attendees might provoke the area's large Muslim community or disrupt Friday prayers at local mosques.

TheCall's website says Detroit is a "microcosm" of national crises involving race, the economy and abortion. Until recently "the rising tide of the Islamic movement" was listed among those concerns, but that mention no longer appears.

Detroit pastors on TheCall's website say the event starting at 6 p.m. Friday at Ford Field will unite Christians across ethnic lines to fast and pray for the city and the nation.
