NEW YORK (AP) -- The Rev. Rick Warren says he and his gay friends can work together to fight AIDS while disagreeing on gay marriage.

On "CBS This Morning," Warren said he's tolerant of people who disagree with him, without approving of everything they do.

Warren's Saddleback Church in Southern California will mark World AIDS Day this Saturday with a campaign to find adoptive homes for thousands of children who've been orphaned by AIDS in Rwanda.

The author of "The Purpose Driven Life" said he doesn't support gay marriage, but he and his wife Kay Warren have given millions of dollars to fight AIDS and have worked alongside gays and people of other faiths in that effort.
