CHICAGO (AP) -- The annual Nativity Scene has returned to Chicago's Daley Plaza.
The life-size display has been operating since 1985.
Nativity Scene co-chair Terrance Hodges says it remains "the
sole religious expression of Christmas on a government plaza in
downtown Chicago." The crèche is erected each year by a
group of volunteer tradesmen who call themselves "The God Squad."
Children will place the Baby Jesus in a manger. The bell choir
will perform Christmas hymns.
