Cataula Church Moves Services After Arson Attack

CATAULA, Ga. (AP) -- Members of a Baptist church near Columbus, Ga., have relocated their worship after their sanctuary was damaged in an arson attack.

The Sunday service of the Rehobeth Baptist Church in Cataula was moved to a nearby church in Hamilton.

The church was damaged Tuesday in a blaze that authorities say was set by arsonists. Pastor Charles Graddick told The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer that two pews were burned. A Christian flag, a display Bible and a communion table were also damaged.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office has charged 19-year-old Cody Ty Watson of Phenix City, Ala. and 37-year-old Larry Hutto Jr. of Cataula with one count each of aggravated arson. They were being held without bond.
