John Thomas Porter Park 6951 Florida St, Grand Ridge, FL 32442
December 8, 2017
You are invited to participate in the Grand Ridge Christmas Parade sponsored by the Town of Grand Ridge. There are no entry fees for units that want to participate. We would like for all businesses, churches, schools, individuals, and any other organizations to be involved in our parade this year. The parade will start at Hall Street (next to the Town Hall) and turn East on Florida Street. It will end at John Thomas Porter Park (see map). We are hoping that everyone will gather for the Festival afterwards. The festival starts immediately after the parade.
Santa Clause will be taking the children’s Christmas lists and handing out candy canes to all the girls and boys. So make sure you bring your camera. The Town will be serving hot dogs and chili. We will have some special activities and games for the kids.
NOTE: You are allowed to throw candy during the parade. You may mail or fax your entry form as needed, but a form must be completed in order to participate in the parade. You must also call Town Hall at (850) 592-4621 to obtain your entry number prior to the parade.
All entries are due by November 30, 2017. All late entries will be placed at the end of the parade in front of Santa Clause.

How many characters, adults and children, are in the play? Grown up Ralph, his mom and dad, his teacher, Santa, as well as nine kids including child Ralphie!
I understand that you have several actors from several cities in the Wiregrass in this show. Where are they from? We have actors from Dothan, Ozark, Andalusia, so we have a good representation from the Wiregrass which is what we strive for as a community theatre!
SEACT is doing "A Christmas Story" for their Holiday Show. How is the play different from the movie that we are all so familiar with? In the play, Ralph, who is all grown up is remembering this very special Christmas when his greatest wish was to get a Red Ryder BB gun with a compass and this "thing that tells time." All of the characters are the same as the movie with the exception of Ralph who helps to narrate the story.
What are the dates of SEACT'S "A Christmas Story" and how do people get tickets? The show will run December 4th - 9th, Monday through Saturday, promptly at 7 o'clock each night, at the Cultural Arts Center in Dothan.
The walk lasts approximately 40 to 45 minutes. Dress appropriately for being outside during the walk.
Can reservations be made? No. We began taking reservations on 11/1 and reserved slots are full. However, walk ins are welcome. There are as many walk in slots as reserved slots.
Is Walk Thru Bethlehem handicap accessible. Walk Thru Bethlehem is wheelchair accessible. The walkway is dirt and wheelchairs are available, if needed, for those who have difficulty walking. There will be members available to push wheelchairs.
What is the purpose of Walk Thru Bethlehem? The purpose is to keep the focus on the real meaning of Christmas and to share the Gospel.
