LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The Christian film "Courageous" is still
among the top 10 box office films.
According to studio estimates, the police drama stressing the importance of fatherhood sold $4.6 million worth of tickets in its
second weekend, making it the nation's sixth most popular film,
even though it's being shown in about one-third the number of
theaters as other top films.
Since its release, "Courageous" has earned about $16 million. It only cost the filmmakers at Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Ga., about $2 million to produce.
Sherwood Pictures' previous film, "Fireproof," cost $500,000 to make and earned more than $33 million.
