CHICAGO (AP) - A historic Chicago church will soon see a rebirth.
The former St. John of God Roman Catholic Church is being moved in pieces more than 50 miles to the village of Old Mill Creek.
There it will be used to help build a new St. Raphael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Officials say they wanted the new church to have historic elements. That includes the carved limestone and 135-foot bell towers of St. John.
The move is estimated to cost $10 million.
St. John opened in 1920 and served Chicago's Polish community. It closed in 1992 and has since fallen into disrepair.
