 The remnants of what was previously Hurricane Rick have trekked across Mexico and Texas, and are now tapping into plenty of surface moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. Heavy rain with it is pulling generally east northeast across the Louisiana Texas boarder. A tornado warning is in effect from east of Houston to just east of Lake Charles, LA northwards of Alexandria, LA until 1 pm Central time Thursday. Locally, Thursday will be a warm and humid, mostly cloudy day in the Wiregrass and panhandle. Highs along the gulf will be near 80, with low 80's inland. Winds will become breezy from the east at 10-20 mph late in the day. Shower chances remain slim into Thursday evening, but we could see a few light showers overnight. Overcast skies will dominate the area on Friday with temps staying in the upper 70's.. Rain will move in to our western zones by mid-day, and then into the central wiregrass by mid-day. We could be seeing some thunderstorms by the mid to late afternoon, rain will continue into the evening hours and taper by late Friday. Saturday will wake to mostly cloudy skies and breezy conditions. Temperatures will be cooler, but not cold...and breezy. Lows will be in the low to mid 50's. It will stay slightly breezy into the evening and become mostly sunny late in the day. Highs on Saturday will be around 70 degrees. Sunday wet weather will have cleared out and we will start the day on the chilly side, in the upper 40's under clear skies. Highs will be around 75 degrees. If you're heading to Friday Night Football, bring a raincoat. If you're headed to Troy Homecoming or any other Alabama games, you'll want to bring a light sweatshirt.
