Be careful what you write!

Who knew Swedish people were reading my blogs? Whoops.

So I'm now living with another host family- this is my 5th family since I arrived.  They are very sweet and communicate well.  We're in the city of Karlstoga which is a bit smaller than some of the other areas we've visited.  My family has actually adopted another team member and myself for the week.  They have no idea what they're in for!

Today we moved into our new houses, took a nap, and then headed to a central home for a dinner party.  The food was plentiful and conversation interesting.  I indulged in a variety of foods including a leak quiche (it was truly tasty), pizza that had ham and mushroom on it (a bit daintier than Papa John's but still delicious), a sheeshkabob of meat and veggies, and potato salad.  After that we were treated to rhubarb pie with vanilla sauce for dessert and of course hot tea and coffee.  Green tea is my favorite and this family had a nice green tea blend for me to enjoy while chatting with the other guests.  What a lovely evening.

We then headed home to get some rest before tomorrow's big day.  On the way home we nearly hit a deer- no kidding!  I escape them in AL only to head to Sweden to nearly meet my demise with a doe.  Thanks to our quick-thinking driver we all managed to survive.  We were also on the look out for moose but weren't able to see any.  They say wild boar live near the home I'm staying in , I really hope I get to spot one.  I love to see new types of animals.  I am quite aware that boar are in AL but I have never had the opportunity to see one outside of a zoo.

So when we got home we spent some family time together in the kitchen before getting ready for bed.  The lady of the house, Lena, was showing me around the kitchen so I could prepare my breakfast in the morning.  When she opened the fridge I was overcome with excitement!  Yes, in a Swedish fridge there sat a pack of cokes!  Holy cuss I was excited.  I told her that finally I had arrived at the perfect home just for me to which she replied, "Well yes I know you like cokes and I think you don't like chocolate."  I thought for a minute that perhaps I had moved into the home of a psychic, which could have been very interesting.  She quickly revealed to me that she had been reading my blogs!  Yup, it's true people, WTVY is being infiltrated by Swedes.  I could be happier to have the opportunity to share with them just how grateful I am to get to experience their country, culture and most importantly their warm and friendly people.  I have a bigger family now than when  I started this trip and I am certainly a better person for it.  So to anyone reading this blog whether in the Wiregrass, across the ocean, or in my current home- thanks for taking an interest and I hope I'm giving you content that can in some way enrich your own life.  Until tomorrow....Good night.
