You may not have noticed, but I've been absent from this blog for the past two weeks. The first week was because of conflicting schedules. In other words, nearly everyone in the newsroom was off and those of us who weren't were super busy. The second week, I was on a much-needed vacation for all but two days.
Of the two days I worked last week, one was spent on Fort Rucker for a special series we're calling Live at Lunch Local. Every week in July, we're taking Live at Lunch on the road. After a lot of shuffling and changing of dates multiple times, we kicked things off at Freedom Fest last Thursday.
This was my first field producing experience. It was a lot of fun.
This Thursday, we're heading to Enterprise. We're planning on having a little fun with the boll weevil statue and Rawl's Hotel. Plus we'll be sharing some sports history and take a look at an upcoming event.
Next week, we're going to Ozark. And we'll end the series in Blakely. I hope you'll tune in!
