Dr. Raines earned her bachelors degree at the University of Cincinnati before graduating from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She completed her residency at Tri-Health in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bethesda North and Good Samaritan Hospitals in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. Sarah then moved to south Alabama where her family could enjoy the sun, beach and great community. She joined Ladies First in September 2010. "I was attracted to this practice because of the friendly physicians and staff. They were all so welcoming. I love the opportunity to work with other physicians who care so much for women’s health as I do."
Sarah enjoys "taking care of women at every stage of their lives. Each stage has its own obstacles and possible problems, its is rewarding to have a long term relationship and be there to help." Sarah’s special interests include preventative care, teen health, high-risk pregnancies and infertility. "I enjoy seeing my patients and feel I can put them at ease and feel comfortable to discuss any problems."
Her certifications include Implanon/Nexplanon and Mirena IUD placement, Adiana and Essure permanent birth control and minimally invasive laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. She was trained on the DaVinci surgery robotic system. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and American Medical Association.
Sarah spends her free time biking, hiking, working with arts and crafts and spending time with family and friends. She is married with three children.
