Jefferson Co. Bingo Facility Raided
Authorities in Jefferson County have raided a bingo hall and seized 58 gambling machines.

GRAYSON VALLEY, Ala. (AP) -- Authorities in Jefferson County have raided a bingo hall and seized 58 gambling machines.
Randy Christian with the Sheriff's department said deputies raided Church Upon the Rock Bingo in Grayson Valley just outside Birmingham on Tuesday. He said six patrons inside the bingo hall were allowed to leave without arrest.
Christian said authorities will file in court to have the machines destroyed.
A similar raid was performed in Lipscomb two weeks ago where authorities seized 80 gambling machines from the Beulah Bell Lodge Bingo.
A listed number for Church Upon the Rock could not be found.
