Committee Nominates 9 for Auburn Board of Trustees
The selection committee met Monday at the Alabama Capitol to select the nine nominees to serve seven-year terms on the board that governs Auburn University.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- Nine candidates have been nominated for the Auburn Board of Trustees and their names will be submitted to
the Alabama Senate for confirmation.
The nominees include four current members of the Board of
Trustees. The current members nominated are Jimmy Sanford, Sarah
Newton, Jimmy Rane and Charles McCrary.
The selection committee met Monday at the Alabama Capitol to
select the nine nominees to serve seven-year terms on the board
that governs Auburn University.
A total of 35 candidates were interviewed individually by the
selection committee, which includes Gov. Robert Bentley.
The names of the nine nominees chosen by the board will be
submitted to the Alabama Senate for confirmation.
