BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - The widow of a Bimingham-area lawyer
whose body was found in a golf course pond says she was shocked to learn of his death.
Now, Leslie Bashinsky tells WBRC-TV she is focused on finding
out how her husband died.
Authorities on Tuesday confirmed that a body found at Highland
Park Golf Course was that of 63-year-old Major Bashinsky of
Mountain Brook.
The attorney had been missing since March 3, and his vehicle was found abandoned four days later.
Leslie Bashinsky says she now must be strong for their children,
who are 6 and 8.
Bashinsky is the son of the late Sloan Bashinsky Sr., chairman
of the parent company of Golden Flake Snack Foods Inc.
Police haven't said how he died.
