MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Families of students involved in a fatal
Huntsville school bus crash are marking the third year anniversary
of the tragedy Friday.
The bus was carrying 40 Lee High School students to a technology center on Nov. 20, 2006 when it collided with a car driven by a student who was also headed to the center.
Four girls were killed and 34 students were injured along with the bus driver.
Laura Collier's daughter Felicia suffered a broken jaw, punctured lung, head trauma and other injuries in the crash and was hospitalized for 11 days.
Collier said Felicia, who's now 21 and is a cosmetologist, can't bear to watch news reports this time of year because she doesn't want to revisit that day.
Calvin Darnell Fletcher lost his 19-year-old daughter Nicole Ford in the crash and is raising her young son.
He said he'll never be able to forget what happened but is trying to move forward.
