We are learning more today about Whitney Houston's final days.

Friends are speaking out about the singer's behavior before her death.

All this while investigators are hard at work to determine just how she died.

As the news of Whitney Houston’s death sinks in with friends and family, some are looking back on their final interactions with the singer.

One close friend says Houston sounded happy in a voice mail she left just hours before she was found dead in a Beverly Hills hotel room Saturday afternoon.

"I don't think she was trying to mask anything. She was in great spirits, she was singing and she had gospel music playing."

Another singer, Kelly Price, denies claims that Houston was acting erratically at a pre-Grammy party two days before her death.

Houston joined Price for an impromptu duet at the event.

"I've heard so many things about people saying she was erratic, she was this, she was that. She was none of those things."

Monday, the assistant chief coroner said a family member saw Houston no more than an hour before her bodyguard found her dead in the bathtub.

Officials still refuse to speculate on a cause of death.

"The case is still pending, we're waiting for tox, histopathology, toxicology, and the investigation is ongoing."

Results could take six to eight weeks.

While Houston’s family awaits answers about her death, they are making final arrangements.

They are also focused on the well-being of Houston’s 18 year old daughter Bobbi Kristina.

She was rushed to the hospital twice over the weekend and treated for stress and anxiety.
