A new poll shows a majority of Americans support some kind of compensation for organ donations.
According to the NPR Thomas Reuters poll, 60 percent of Americans surveyed favor health care credits for organ donations.
46 percent support tax credits and 42 percent are in favor of tuition reimbursement as compensation.
Money for organs got the support of 41 percent of the three-thousand people surveyed.
Right now, it's illegal in the U.S. to compensate organ donors for fear it could exploit the needy.
