A scientific review of the latest evidence suggests the benefits of e-cigarettes outweigh the risks.

An international team of leading tobacco researchers says the battery-operated devices are much less likely to be harmful to users or bystanders than conventional cigarettes.

E-cigarettes allow users to inhale vaporized nicotine, but researchers acknowledge the long-term health effects of e-cigarettes are still unknown.
