New research shows eating raisins and soy may help lower blood pressure in young adults.
According to two studies presented at the American College of Cardiology's annual meeting in Chicago, munching on a handful of raisins three times a day for several weeks, helped lower blood pressure.
The study also found that consuming only an 8 ounce glass of soy milk a day lowered blood pressure by about 5 points.
The effect was especially strong among African Americans.
Researchers examined more than 5,000 participants.
