Working long hours could put nurses at a higher risk for obesity.

That's coming from a new study by researchers at University of Maryland School of Nursing.

Researchers looked at data from more than two-thousand nurses.

They found more than half of the nurses surveyed were obese.

Researchers blamed lack of sleep on the trend, saying you're more likely to make poor health choices when you're tired.

They also say the long hours affected the quality of patient care.

Researchers say the findings support the need trimming nurses' shifts.
