Gonorrhea May Soon Be incurable

Gonorrhea may soon become incurable.
That's what the World Health Organization is saying.
For years medications like Azithromycin have successfully fought the second most common sexually transmitted disease.
But now, several countries are reporting that some cases of gonorrhea are resistant to Azithromycin and other antibiotics.
The world health organization says 106-million people are infected with gonorrhea every year.
Gone untreated it can cause several health issues including infection, infertility and an increase risk of contracting HIV.
Health officials are calling on more research into alternative treatments.
