Formerly Obese women seen as less attractive?

Formerly obese women may still be considered unattractive even after they lost their excess weight.

A recently published study showed people judge thin women differently if they knew about their weight history.

Study participants were asked to read short descriptions of women who had either lost 70 pounds or had stayed the same weight.

Those who were heavier in the past were seen as less attractive than those who had always been thin.

The study appears in the journal Obesity .
