A new study finds overweight doctors may be less likely to talk about obesity with patients than average weight doctors.
That's coming from researchers at Johns Hopkins University.
They looked at hundreds of primary care physicians around the country and found that only 18 percent of overweight doctors discussed losing weight with obese patients.
About 30 percent of doctors maintaining a healthy weight addressed the issue with patients.
Researchers found almost all the doctors diagnosed obesity in patients if they believed the patients were heavier than themselves.
