Headaches are a part of life for many people.
Rosemary says that headaches run in her family, with her daughter, and herself, getting the worst of it.
"I would have to get in a dark room, very quiet and just sleep it off. And it's practically the same way with my daughter, quiet room, no noise, very dark and sleep it off. It takes about anywhere from 2 to 4, maybe 5 hours.
But they're not the only ones...
13:34:09 "Well I mainly get them really just every now and then and it's usually when I haven't eaten. Like I haven't eaten today, and I have a headache today. Or if I'm under stress and a lot is going on and I'm just having to think about a lot, juggle a lot, then I can tell. Sometimes I get sinus headaches. That usually depends on the weather."
And while it may just be a normal, everyday, pain, doctors say certain types of headaches, you don't want to ignore.
But how can you tell when it is just a headache, and when is it something serious?
"There's other headaches that could be from a stroke or a tumor causing pain and we have to watch out for those for any visual problems, they can't see well, they see floaters or dots or things like that. If you're having nausea or vomiting, or it's the worst headache of your life, you need to come on in and let us see you. If you've tried things at home that aren't working, then you need to come in and let us examine you."
So pay attention and make sure there's nothing unusual about your headache before you just write it off.
In some situations, you may need to get medical attention fast.
