It's an alarming statistic, according to a new report by Safe Kids Worldwide, about 165 kids everyday end up in the emergency room after getting into medication.
That's more than 60,000 kids a year ages 5 and under who unintentionally take a medicine or overdose on it.
Today Safe Kids introduced a new initiative called "Safe Storage, Safe Dosing, Safe Kids."
The campaign calls on caregivers, medical and government groups to work towards reducing the accidental poisonings of children from medications.
