Nearly twenty five percent of newly diagnosed breast cancer patients experience some symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder including anxiety and difficulty sleeping.
New York researchers found one in four women met the criteria for PTSD during the first few months after diagnosis.
Younger women and Black and Asian women were most likely to develop the disorder.
