A company that's locating in Auburn is expected to create about 250 new jobs in east Alabama by this time next year.
Si02 Medical Products is breaking ground Monday on a new plant in a technology park in Auburn. Gov. Robert Bentley will attend, along with local leaders.
The company will produce medical products including pre-filled syringes and vials. It's expected to create about 250 jobs by the time begins operating in the spring of 2013.
Lee County already has one of the state's lowest unemployment rates. State figures show its preliminary jobless rate for February was 6.4 percent.
