Quiet Environments Help Concentration, Study Time


A quiet environment may be your best bet for studying or when you need to concentrate.

Researchers found listening to music broke concentration and impaired the ability to remember.

Participants were asked to recall information after being put in various environments: with and without music, and in a steady-state environment with a voice repeating the number three. Participants performed best while in a quiet or steady-state environment.
