There's been a lot of debate over the years which weight loss program works the best, the low-fat or the low-carb diet?
According to a new study more weight was lost in a six month period when participants were on a low-carb diet, but after a year, there were not significant differences in weight loss from either diet.
After three years, those on the low-carb diet regained more weight than the low fat group.
Researchers found although those on the low-carb diet lost more initial weight than those on the low-fat, they regained more weight during the next two years, while the participants on the low fat diet, kept the weight they lost off.
Researchers concluded there was really no significant difference in weight change between the two diet groups over a long period of time.
