Holding the salt could save thousands of lives and billions of dollars in our country.

According to a new study, if the food industry voluntarily reduced salt intake by as little as 10-percent nearly 500-thousand heart attacks could be prevented and the u-s government could save 32-billion dollars in health care costs.

Eating too much salt is a major cause of high blood pressure, which can lead to heart attacks and stroke.
