Flu shots given in Henry County

Nurses say a wide range of ages decided to get the flu shot this year.

Even with added swine flu concerns, the number of vaccinations given today were comparable to last year.

Nationally some health officials have voiced concerns about running out of flu vaccines this year, but Henry County officials say they are ready to serve as many members of the community as are willing to participate.

Abbeville Clinic Nurse Karen Tipton said, "I Haven't heard any concern we have plenty of flu vaccine and we are not looking to run out."

A flu clinic will be held in Headland Friday from 8 until noon at the experimental station in downtown.
