Food Expiration Dates

Researchers say no.

They say consumers won't dare pick up expired food at the grocery store, but if they own it, they'll eat it.

A team of researchers at New York’s Baruch College call this way of thinking the "endowment effect".

Still, researchers say food doesn't necessarily go bad on the expiration date.

But beware, as each day passes, bacteria could start to grow, ruining the quality of the food.
