Florida Governor Charlie Crist touted the program today that saved money for more than 66,000 citizens who spent an average of $28.74 in 2007.
More than 4,300 retail pharmacies accept the Florida Discount
Drug Card.
Participating pharmacies must agree to the negotiated prices.
The program began Dec. 20, 2007.
Individuals can qualify for a discount card if they are over 60
years old and don't have prescription drug coverage or in the
Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage gap.
