Researchers at the University of California, Berkeley tracked marital satisfaction in a group of women over eighteen years.

They found women who no longer had the kids at home had increased their marital satisfaction compared to those with children still at home.

And the finding isn't the result of more time with a spouse. However rather better more enjoyable time.

Researchers also found martial satisfaction increased as women got older, whether it was in a first or second marriage.
