Less General Surgeons

A new Ohio State University study projects a shortage of general surgeons by the year 2010.
These are the doctors trained in a wide array of procedures.
Researchers say one reason for the shortage is because a medical degree can leave young doctors with around one-hundred-fifty-thousand dollars worth of debt.
Also, more and more who make it through school are opting to specialize instead, like becoming a heart or brain surgeon.
