Making the Skies Safer

The government has created a "Do Not Board" list with the names of people known to have diseases that could pose a serious public health threat.

State and local health officials can add names to the list, if they believe the infected people will ignore warnings not to travel on commercial flights.

According to the CDC, 33 people, with suspected or confirmed infectious tuberculosis, were put on the list during the year ending May 31st.
