More than 400 seniors in the area need basic household items. SARCOA's wish list gives them a chance at it.
Leslie Hicks, a SARCOA Volunteer says she gives because she can,
“When I look at the circumstances that I live in and compare them with some of the tough situations that I see some of these elderly people living in day after day; I feel like I can't hardly believe my situation is so good compared to theirs.”
There still is a huge need for these wish lists to be filled, and the due date is around the corner.
Gifts for these seniors will be collected at the National Guard Armory on Westgate Parkway during the week of December 6th.
