TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama football fans who couldn't make
it to the BCS Championship game are gearing up back home for what
they hope will be a victory celebration.

The University of Alabama is offering free food and T-shirts for
the first 250 students who show up at the student center to watch
the game Thursday night. And bars around campus are planning
parties for anyone who wants a livelier time.

Tuscaloosa police spokesman Brent Blankley says the department
will have a lot of extra officers on duty in case Alabama wins and
the celebration gets too rowdy. But authorities aren't expecting
many problems because of the cold weather and the university's
decision to cancel classes for three days around the game.
